Everybody stay calm!
Look, we know we said it was too early for mince pies and hot cross buns to hit the supermarkets but we’re willing to make an exception if Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are in the equation.
Your eye in the aisle, @nectoriouspapi has let slip that Reese’s Hot Cross Buns will be hitting shelves at independent supermarkets soon.
Have we celebrated Christmas yet? No. Would we scoff a six-pack of these buns anyway? You betcha.

The seasonal special is courtesy of New Zealand-based bakery, Loaf, which has previously stuck to the traditional spice fruit buns and chocolate Easter buns to its local market.
Of course, we’re not short of exceptional hot cross buns from Aussie bakers – in fact, we’re downright spoiled for choice – but we don’t mind supporting the Kiwi bakers if they promise to keep adding our favourite choccies to their goods.
