Good tidings we bring!

Ever since the Porteno crew opened up Sydney’s Humble Bakery a mere stone’s throw from the delicious. office, they’ve been making our cakey dreams come true with their tarts, cheesecake, croissants, brownies and danishes. Now they’ve given us even more reason to nick up there after lunch, with the launch of the Humble Christmas collection.

You can choose from a Yule Log – a rolled chocolate sponge with macerated cherries, cream and decadent chocolate frosting; a six-pack of mince pies; a four-pack of ginger Christmas biscuits; or the mighty Humble Christmas cake, made with fruit soaked in brandy for 12 months. Once baked, the cakes have been left to mature for two months in the Humble climate-controlled cellar, so they’re as rich and fruity as humbly possible.

All Christmas orders will require two days’ notice, and you can order online, but it would be remiss of us not to suggest dropping by in person to place your order. That way, you can pick up one of the bakery’s famed finger buns while you’re there. You can thank us later.

You can find Humble bakeries in Surry Hills, Newtown and Quay Quarter Lanes. For more info, head to humblesydney.com.
