Bunnings partners with Uber Eats, and we’re ready for our sausage sanger

Uber Eats

Hardware, delivered hot.

You know the feeling. You’re sitting at home on the lounge, streaming the latest episode of Bridgerton, and it suddenly hits you: “I could really use a 19-piece screwdriver set right about now.”

In days gone by, that craving would simply have had to go unsated, especially as there was no way in hell you were going to put on pants and walk the 300m down the road to the nearest Bunnings and pick it up yourself. But now, those days are gone. The mega hardware chain has announced that it will be partnering with Uber Eats to offer delivery in less than an hour.

Customers can shop more than 30,000 products from Bunnings on Uber Eats – the largest retail range available on the app – all at in-store prices and delivered in under 60 minutes, whether they’re at home, on the go or on a worksite. Pity the poor delivery rider who has to pedal a power saw across town.

You will still have to leave the house if you want a snag sambo.

Can you order a Bunnings sausage sandwich through Uber Eats?

Sadly, sausage sizzles will not be part of the package, since these are run by volunteers representing separate local community groups, clubs and charities. But you will be able to order pretty much anything else you can possibly imagine – nuts and bolts, garden supplies, cement mixers, folding chairs, mops, packing boxes, pet food… even a lawn mower, which is just what we tend to hanker after on a rainy Tuesday night.

The new same-day delivery partnership will begin rolling out in stages over the first half of this year, starting with 15 locations across Australia before scaling to a full launch across Australia and New Zealand. The launch follows a successful trial run across five Melbourne stores in late January 2026, which saw strong demand from both retail and trade customers.

Its the ultimate Aussie DIY-ers dream – finally, you can finish that back deck without even having to take off your PJs. After youve finished watching Season 4, of course.
