Woolies’ bagged chooks have just got even better. The supermarket giant has today announced the return of its Garlic Bread Hot Roast Chicken. That’s right, one of your all-time favourite comfort foods now comes stuffed in the cavity of another.

The country-style roast chicken comes smothered in butter, garlic and herbs, and is filled with a cheesy garlic bread stuffing. So need to prep any sides. Just grab that bachelor’s handbag and go.

Originally launched in 2020, this new iteration of the product includes even more real butter within the stuffing than the old version, creating an authentic, buttery flavour just like real garlic bread.

This is the latest special-edition flavour Woolies has launched in its hot roast chicken range, which has previously included BBQ Memphis and Tandoori flavours.

“We know Aussies love a roast chook, and we’re always looking for ways to add some excitement to this customer favourite,” says Woolworths food company product developer Callan Schafer.

“Garlic bread is a crowd-pleaser, and this flavour taps into the love Aussies have for this classic comfort food. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, a weekend family feast, or even sliced up for sandwiches and salads.”

Woolworths’ Garlic Bread Hot Roast Chicken is now available in-store for $13.50.
