Affogato shake
The original affogato is vanilla ice cream drowned in hot espresso coffee with liqueur. It's even more delicious served icy cold as a shake, with everything whizzed up together.
Ingredients (3)
- 1/2 cup ground espresso coffee
- 3 scoops good-quality vanilla ice cream, slightly softened, plus extra to serve
- Slug of Nocello or Frangelico (optional)
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Make the coffee in a plunger with 300ml boiling water, then chill in the fridge. Chill 4 small glasses as well.

2.Combine the chilled coffee and ice cream (and the booze if you're feeling up to it) in a blender and whiz until smooth and frothy.

3.Pour the shake into glasses and serve each with an extra small scoop of ice cream.
