Asian wonton soup

Warming, fragrant and so good for you, this versatile soup can be dressed up with added prawns, vegetables and sauces (like sriracha) - but we love it just the way it is, too.
Ingredients (8)
- 12 frozen wontons
- 2 cups (500ml) chicken stock
- 2 tsp finely shredded ginger
- 4 spring onions, sliced on the diagonal (white and green parts separated)
- 1 tsp Chinese rice wine (shaohsing)
- 1 tbs light soy sauce
- 1 carrot, peeled, halved, finely sliced
- Handful of bean sprouts

1.Cook wontons in a pan of boiling salted water according to packet instructions.

2.Meanwhile, place stock in a pan and bring to boil. Add ginger, white spring onion, wine, soy and carrot. Turn heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Place cooked wontons in serving bowls, pour over the broth and garnish with sprouts and green spring onion tops.
