Cheat's Christmas gravy
Rich gravy that's both easy and relatively quick to make: we're sold.
Ingredients (10)
- 1 x whole barbecue chicken
- 1 each rosemary & thyme sprigs
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 carrot, roughly chopped
- 3 cups (750ml) Massel Chicken Style Liquid Stock
- 1 cup (250ml) white wine
- ¼ cup (35g) plain flour
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Preheat oven to 250C.

2.Remove flesh from the chicken and set aside for another use (such as soups, salads and sandwiches). Add chicken bones, skin and stuffing to a large roasting pan, then add herbs, bay leaves, onion and carrot. Roast for 15 minutes until golden.

3.Remove and add stock and wine to pan, roast for a further 45 minutes. Sprinkle flour over the top of the tray, roast for 15 minutes. Remove and stir to combine.

4.Push mixture through a fine sieve, add soy and Worcestershire. Serve warm.
