Mexican burgers
Impress ‘em, you can also let guests assemble their own burger. Place fillings on a platter in the centre of the table. Then serve patties and bread from the barbecue!.
Ingredients (7)
- 4 truss tomatoes, sliced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 avocado, deseeded
- 2 x 500g trays Created with Jamie Mexican-Style Beef Burgers
- Olive oil
- 2 loaves Turkish bread
- 1 oakleaf lettuce, leaves separated coriander leaves, to serve
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Lay tomato slices on a large plate. Season with salt. Drizzle with half of the lime juice and season with pepper.

2.Roughly mash avocado in a bowl. Add remaining lime juice and season to taste. Cover tomato and avocado with plastic and chill until ready to serve.

3.Preheat barbecue on medium-high heat. Brush burgers with a little oil. Cook for 8-12 minutes, turning halfway, until brown and cooked to your liking. Trim ends of Turkish bread and divide each into 4 portions. Split through centres. Lightly toast halves on barbecue.

4.Divide 8 Turkish bread halves among plates. Spread with avocado and top with lettuce leaves. Add patties, tomato and remaining avocado. Finish with coriander and remaining Turkish bread halves. Serve.
