Toss and bake baklava chicken wings
We're willing to bet you've never had chicken wings – or baklava – like this before!
Ingredients (11)
- 2 tbs coriander seeds, toasted
- 1 tbs cumin seeds, toasted
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- Finely grated zest and juice of 1 lemon, plus lemon wedges, to serve
- 6 garlic cloves, bruised
- 1/2 cup (175g) honey
- 2.5kg chicken winglets (wings with tips removed, halved at the knuckle)
- 2/3 cup (110g) smoked almonds
- 2/3 cup (110g) shelled pistachios
- 1/3 cup (40g) walnuts
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Grease 2 large baking trays and line with baking paper.

2.Crush spices using a mortar and pestle. Transfer to a bowl with oil, lemon zest and juice, garlic and honey. Add chicken and toss to coat.

3.Transfer to prepared trays and bake for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 200°C/180°C fan-forced and bake for a further 30 minutes, or until chicken is golden and sticky.

4.Whiz nuts in a food processor until finely chopped. Scatter over chicken for the last 10 minutes of cooking or until roasted.
