Spiked beer spider
Introducing your Dad's new BFF - it's a little crazy but completely delicious.
Ingredients (7)
- 2L (8 cups) beer (we used lager)
- 1L vanilla ice cream
Peanut, chilli and salt praline
- 1 cup (220g) caster sugar
- 2 tbs water
- 1/2 cup (75g) roasted unsalted peanuts, chopped
- 4 bird's eye chillies, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp salt flakes
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.For the praline combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Cook for 8 minutes or until golden.

2.Meanwhile line a baking tray with greaseproof baking paper. When the caramel is dark golden, remove from heat and add 3/4 of the peanuts and chilli then stir to combine using a heatproof spatula and pour onto the baking paper.

3.Spread evenly and top with remaining peanuts, chilli and sprinkle with salt. Cool completely then break into shards.

4.For the soft serve, place the ice cream into the bowl of a stand mixer with the whisk attachment and whisk until smooth. Place in a large piping bag fitted with a large nozzle.

5.Pour beers into large stein glasses leaving about 2cm before the top. Pipe the ice cream onto the top of the beers then decorate with shards of praline.
