Order a flight of butter to sample the bar's finest spreads.

You might have ordered a flight of craft beer at a bar in the past – but have you ever ordered a flight of butter served with a warm, crusty baguette?

At Bella La Crema in Lyons, Colorado, the world’s first butter-dedicated bar, there’s no judgement cast on those who take a little more than their fair share from the butter dish. Here, a full butter menu of creamy delights is served to butter enthusiasts.

Owner Shauna Lee Strecker is the passionate prodcuer behind the artisanal butters, which she makes using organic cream that comes from grass-fed cows.

At the petit eatery, you can enjoy flavours ranging from the simplest, purest butter forms, to the savoury, spicy and even sweet. Its ‘French Countryside’ varietal features rosemary, garlic, thyme and herbs, while its ‘Mayan Chocolate Muse’ profiles chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and cayenne.

Naturally, there are heartier bites on offer too  – from salads to desserts and meals in between – and even a buttered coffee, in which you can add a butter of you choice.

Those who love butter might need to add Bella La Crema (and Lyons) to their bucket lists, pronto.
