Here’s a first look at the historic hotel's sleek new look.
Southern Highlands jewel in the crown, Milton Park Country House Hotel & Spa, is set to undergo a $10+ million transformation. It’s just been announced that Salter Brothers Hospitality will relaunch the hotel as Ardour Milton Park Bowral in early 2026 after undergoing a massive renovation.

One of Australia’s most storied heritage estates will welcome a new chapter where contemporary luxury meets heritage. The new look will be inspired by the romantic countryside manors of Europe with a modern flair. Guest lounges, the bar, billiards room, terraces, and private dining areas will all be luxuriously refreshed while honouring the original architectural bones of the manor. Milton Park’s signature offerings will evolve with the introduction of a new dining concept, day spa and soon-to-be-revealed wellness program.

Of course, the rooms will also be getting a makeover. Ardour Milton Park Bowral will re-open with 44 guest rooms designed in distinct palettes of sage greens and cobalt blues mixed with rich timber textures, marble and walnut finishes and restored vintage furnishings.
General Manager, David McDonald who is overseeing the property transformation, added that the re-branding of this iconic hotel to Ardour Milton Park Bowral marks the start of a new era of celebrated luxury, setting a benchmark for regional boutique hotels.

“With a commitment to redefining Australian luxury, we’re excited to be transforming Milton Park into a destination that blends its rich history with modern elegance to deliver an unforgettable guest experience,” McDonald said.
Works are currently underway, we’ll keep you posted when a concrete opening date is set.
