Consider us on island time.
Private boat, check. Island to yourself, check. Mud crab and caviar blinis washed down with generous amounts of Veuve Clicquot, check. A summer experience like no other, guaranteed.
Veuve Clicquot has brought the world’s most exclusive picnic to the jewel of Australia, the Whitsundays, and it’s set to wow. The Champagne house has teamed up with InterContinental Hayman Island to bring to life Australia’s take on Le Picnic by Veuve Clicquot, following stunning editions in France, Japan, Spain and USA.

Set on Langford Island, a stunning tidal white-sand spit surrounded by turquoise waters, Le Picnic by Veuve Clicquot is not just a picnic, it’s an experience that is iconically Clicquot from beginning to end. The brand captures the true essence of opulent summer fun: boats, beaches and bubbles.

Veuve Clicquot branded golf carts whisk guests from the lobby of InterContinental Hayman Island to the dock where a Clicquot branded private boat transfer awaits. Guests will then be chartered to the shores of Langford Island, where a beautifully-styled table, including Clicquot servicewear and the new Veuve Clicquot x Souleiado Picnic items – signature rug, plates and baskets – are set up. The sun-drenched spot is stylishly shaded with Clicquout-yellow-and-white striped beach umbrellas to ensure shaded comfort for guests.

Le Picnic by Veuve Clicquot will not only serve up the finest bubbles, but also a long lunch menu created by one of Australia’s most exciting chefs Analiese Gregory. Menu highlights include mud crab finger sandwiches, chargrilled octopus with smoked and pickled currants (or roast beef served cold with summer herb dressing, horseradish and saltbush focaccia). To finish? Shell-shaped rainforest honey madeleines with cultured cream and strawberry for dessert. Hayman Chefs will execute the menu inspired by Analiese’s time on the island, foraging for local produce, and all courses will, of course, be paired with the brand’s iconic Yellow Label and Rosé.
Le Picnic by Veuve Clicquot is available from September 2025 – March 2026 and is bookable through three luxurious packages.
