We may not be able to jet off to London just yet, but that doesn’t mean that the city’s incredible cocktails are completely off the menu. One of Brisbane’s best cocktail bars, Living Room Bar at W Brisbane is serving up a taste of London a little closer to home.

The epic new cocktail collab sees W Brisbane’s Living Room Bar serving up an adventurous new cocktail menu, created by the mixology team behind renowned East London’s Oriole Bar Nightjar.

Oriole mixologists Ali Ali, Mihai Ostafi and Samet Ali are taking over the cocktail menu at W Brisbane’s Living Room Bar, creating an exclusive list of 15 drinks, especially for the collab.

The menu is a veritable cocktail world tour, featuring local ingredients and spirits, with the new concoctions each paying homage to celebrated cocktail hotspots around the world.
“We believe that now more than ever people miss the feeling of travelling and discovering new tastes, colours and ingredients discovered in the farthest reaches of the globe,” said Oriole’s Bar Manager Ali Ali.

There’s the Toowoomba Cocktail, inspired by Australia’s favourite bakery treat, the Lamington. Made with Belvedere Pure Vodka, Regal Rogue Wild Rose Vermouth, Cocoa Falernum, Campari, wattleseed and coconut soda.

For those with a taste for the aromatic, the Old World Bo-Kaap Royal celebrates the South African neighbourhood famous for its brilliantly coloured houses, with a mix of Whitley Neill gin, Buchu leaf cordial and elderberry wine, topped with Veuve Clicquot.

For the coffee lovers, there’s the Alajuela, which features Hennessy VS Cognac, Belvedere Pure Vodka, Rubino Vermouth, single o cold brew coffee, cascara syrup, banana praline foam, topped with grated chocolate and amaretti biscuits.
“We took inspiration from classic cocktails… we’ve applied different flavours and techniques in order to create a feeling of escapism, allowing the guest to explore different parts of the world without travelling abroad,” said Bartender Samet Ali.
The collab will be an ongoing offering at Living Room Bar. For more information and to book reach out to w.brisbane@whotels.com
