Uber-luxe sustainable Maldives resort Soneva Jani has announced the launch of 27 new over-water villas, alongside a range of new culinary experiences.

Soneva Jani Chapter Two welcomes 27 lavish new villas, which have been carefully positioned to ensure maximum privacy, panoramic ocean views and second-to-none sunrise and sunset vistas.

Accessible from a winding jetty off the southern tip of the resort’s main island, the new villas are some of the most luxurious found anywhere in the world. Ranging from expansive one bedroom water reserves to sprawling four bedroom water reserves, they feature spacious indoor and outdoor living spaces, sweeping terraces and a private pool. Some even have their own slides into the private lagoon.

As well as the epic new overwater villas, Soneva Jani will welcome a new Wellness Centre on the South Beach in the second half of 2021. The new holistic wellness centre will combine Ayurvedic techniques with the most advanced modern therapies.

Chapter Two also includes an indulgent new Soneva Unlimited offering, which offers guests the chance to experience all that the resort has to offer, included in the price of the villa.

But perhaps most exciting is the launch of several new dining concepts, including Overseas by Mathias Dahlgren –– which launched in October 2020 –– as well as a completely plant-based restaurant So Wild by Diana Von Cranach, and So Primitive, which will be set around a central fire pit, paying homage to techniques like roasting, grilling and searing.

One Bedroom Water Retreats in Chapter Two start from USD 3,560+++ in shoulder season, which includes all meals, transfers, experiences, drinks and spa treatments.
