There I was in Tokyo, with a cold. Nothing would keep me from exploring the city so off I went, armed with cold and flu meds. Getting from A to B on the metro, I thought it was the perfect time to pop my next dose before getting to lunch. Glares, tusking, eye rolling from a lady sitting opposite made me aware this was a big no no. I knew that consuming water or food in public was a faux pas, but thought taking medication might be an exception. Apparently not. Here are 8 things you should never do in Japan.
