Prepare to get lit.
Everyone’s favourite winter lights, music and ideas festival is set to return to Sydney live this year, after being cancelled for two years running due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual 23-day festival and arts celebration is the largest festival of its kind in the southern hemisphere, setting the Harbour City ablaze each year with immersive light installations, multimedia projections, musical performances and creative inspiration.

“The 2022 festival boasts the longest continuous Light Walk in the history of the event, from Sydney Opera House to Central Station,” said Festival Director Gill Minervini.
“Once again, the Sydney Opera House will be aglow for the Lighting of the Sails, and at a new Light Walk addition, Central Station, the George Street façade will boast an interactive projection.”
