What’s next? Protein air?
The socialsphere’s obsession with protein has just hit new heights of absurdity with the release of the world’s first protein vodka. Aimed at those who like cocktails and CrossFit, I’m Parched protein vodka is a plant-based, vegan (not all vodkas are) spirit that can be enjoyed straight or used to make a – god save us – ‘pro-tini’.

How much protein is in I’m Parched protein vodka?
Due to US federal regulations, the brand can’t disclose how much protein is in each bottle or serve. So it could be almost negligible. The vodka is also made using ‘superfoods’ such as elder, yarrow and something called the ‘Miracle Berry’, which is apparently a South African plant-based protein. These are added after distillation.
What does I’m Parched protein vodka taste like?
Gosh, darn it. Sadly we can’t get our hands on any, but according to online reports, it does have a slightly weird and lingering aftertaste, so is probably best-suited to flavoured cocktails.
Where can I buy I’m Parched protein vodka?
I’m Parched is currently only available in the US, but it’s surely only a matter of time before other distillers jump on the bandwagon and make their own versions. So watch this space, and those macros.
