Sydney’s Ester Gin has taken out the title of the World’s Best Navy Gin at the World Gin Awards for their Ester Strong Gin. It’s the second award for the spirit, which took out Best in Category and Best in Show at the Australian Gin Awards last year. 

Launched in May 2020, Ester Spirits is the brainchild of husband and wife team Felix Clark and Corinna Kovner, two hospitality veterans who initially opted to create their own gin as a laugh.

The pair also took home a gold medal in the Contemporary Style Gin category for their signature Ester Dry Gin. 

Since launching last year, the label has been picked up by some of the country’s best bars and restaurants, including Quay, Maybe Sammy and Continental Deli.
