Raising a glass to hip-hop royalty.

Snoop Dogg’s Californian wine range, Cali By Snoop, is commemorating one of rap’s most iconic collabs with a special limited-edition wine.

Kingz of Cali has been created as a personal tribute from Snoop to Tupac Shakur, as the rapper, cookbook author, Olympic favourite and Martha Stewart bestie marks 30 years since he and Tupac recorded 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted. Both Snoop and Tupac were signed to the legendary Death Row Records during the West Coast hip-hop boom of the 1990s, with the 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted music video being the only one that Snoop and Tupac ever filmed together.

What is Kingz of Cali?

Kingz of Cali is a shiraz-dominant red blend showcasing bold aromas of dark fruit and smoky spice, with layers of blackberry and plum complemented by notes of sweet vanilla spice and smoky bacon – yes, bacon. This is Snoop, after all. The label design is inspired by a moment featuring Snoop and Tupac at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, and includes a tribute to Tupac written by Snoop.

Along with the tribute on the bottle, Snoop also stars in a special Kingz of Cali short film, in which he reminisces on the pair’s experience together while pouring a little wine in Tupac’s honour. The film also features rare behind-the-scenes footage from the 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted music video.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since Pac and I got together to make 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted,” Snoop says. “Nobody did it like us, and I can’t think of a better way to honour his legacy than with a drink. This wine is perfect for celebrating with loved ones, and I’m looking forward to the people pourin’ a little out with me for my friend.”

Kingz of Cali is available for RRP $18 and is available now exclusively at Dan Murphy’s and BWS. For more information and availability, head to CaliBySnoop.com
