Have wine – will travel.
Your summer picnicking just got easier. Squealing Pig Wines and Wolf Blass have both released new lightweight ‘magnums in a bag’ – AKA, ‘bagnums’.
Squealing Pig’s bagnums come in two fresh whites ideal for summer sipping – Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris. Meanwhile, Wolf Blass has three bagnums on offer – Chardonnay, Shiraz Cabernet and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Just like the classic magnum, each bagnum contains 1.5L. That’s two bottles’ worth of wine in one lightweight, easy-to-carry bag. Woo-hoo! But because we know you’re the responsible type, you’ll also be pleased to hear that you don’t even need to drink it all at once. The bags are designed to keep wine fresh for up to 30 days after opening.
An added bagnum bonus? Producing these handy handbags creates seven times fewer carbon emissions than a traditional 750ml glass bottle. Plus, as any Cardbordeaux connoisseur would well know, the added convenience of a bag doesn’t compromise on the quality of the wine. However, it does equal better value.
Cheers to that!
Squealing Pig ($32) and Wolf Blass ($28) bagnums are available now, exclusively at Dan Murphy’s and BWS.
