Clean out your toaster and stock up on the fancy butter, Black Star Pastry are bringing back their to-die-for frankincense glazed hot cross buns.
We all missed out on the sweet, sticky, spicy goodness last year, due to the pandemic, but the team has decided to bring them back for 2021. Praise the pastry gods!

The team will hand-roll around 15,000 buns across their Newtown, Rosebery, The Galeries (CBD) and Moore Park Entertainment Quarter stores, adding a few lush foodie touches such as a signature fragrant frankincense syrup glaze. Bonus? They’re also 100% vegan.

The hot cross buns will be available in-store from Monday, March 15 – Monday, April 5 and can also be ordered online for pickup… just to make sure you don’t miss out.
