What is better than a scoop of Gelato Messina? A free scoop of Gelato Messina. For one day only, everyone’s favourite gelato maker is giving out free scoops of an ultra-limited gelato flavour inspired by Australia’s most iconic treat: vanilla slice. 

Of course, Gelato Messina has done what it does best and put a contemporary spin on the classic vanilla slice flavour. Sunny-yellow custard is matched with zingy passionfruit icing and buttery puff pastry *drool*. 

So why is Gelato Messina handing scoops of this limited edition flavour for free? That’s thanks to Snapchat. The social media app is celebrating Mates Day (May 8). The vanilla slice inspired flavour is aptly called ‘Oh Snap!’ and is the perfect ‘friendship’ of flavours. 

To get your mitts on some free gelato, head into any Gelato Messina store from 12pm on May 8 and flash the Snapchat app and free gelato is yours. It’s that easy. But you’ll want to get in early as free servings will be available until sold out.
