Every day I'm trufflin.

Attention truffle fans: Aldi has just announced it will be bringing back some highly popular foodie faves in July special buys, among them, Casa Barelli Italian Burgundy truffles priced from just $6.99.

Home chefs can level up their culinary creations with the Burgundy truffle products sourced from Italy, with both whole truffles and truffle salsa available to purchase from Wednesday July 6.

Burgundy truffles (or ‘summer truffles’) are a black truffle variety known for their lighter flavour. They’re said to be ideal for adding to risotto, pasta and mashed potato, sauces, soups and egg dishes.

The $6.99 truffles are part of the German supermarket chain’s Italian Essentials special buys range, which also includes a 25-litre air fryer oven priced at $99.99 and a manual pasta machine priced at $24.99.

While the more affordable option may be enticing, we reckon Australian truffles are still the gold standard, and we encourage you to support local truffle farmers first. (Or buy both and throw a truffle-themed tasting party!)

The Casa Barelli Italian Burgundy Truffles, and all the other Italian Essentials special buys will be available to purchase from Wednesday July 6. Check if they will be available at your local store via this page.
