Can you improve on perfection? Since cheese has already been invented, I’d have to say no. As for peanut butter, how could you possibly make such a creamy, dreamy salty jar of heaven any better? Bega thinks it has the answer: whip it.
Bega Peanut Butter has just launched Whipped Peanut Butter – the first of its kind in Australia. It’s a light, fluffy take on the original that spreads with a mousse-like texture.
The lighter, more aerated spread delivers a silky-smooth experience, with the whipped, aerated texture reducing the likelihood of ‘peanut butter mouth’ – when your over-zealous dollop of PB on toast leaves you with a gluey clump of peanutty butter stuck to the roof of your mouth. It’s also a great PB for the winter season, when cooler temperatures can make regular peanut butter harder to spread.

Credit: Supplied“This is the only whipped peanut butter currently on Aussie shelves – there’s nothing else quite like it,” says Mary Stafford, head of marketing for spreads at Bega Group.
“We set out to solve everyday peanut butter frustrations like stickiness and hard-to-spread textures, and ended up with something that’s not only easy to use, but delicious and fun to eat. And the best part is, it’s incredibly versatile – just as great in savoury dishes as it is on pancakes.”
Bega Whipped Peanut Butter will be available at Woolworths from June 16.
