The always popular Carriageworks Night Market will return this June for Vivid 2023 with a cracker of a line-up of food and drink stalls from Jimmy’s Falafel to Jilly Wines, Bondi Oysters and Brix Distillers. Now the full roster has been announced and it’s pretty darn exciting.

On June 16 from 5-10pm, Carriageworks will come alive in a frenzy of music, food and drink celebrating sustainable food practices and makers that embrace the best produce from across New South Wales. Curated by one of Australia’s leading sustainability advocates – and 2016 delicious. Produce Awards Outstanding Chef winner – Matt Stone of Oakridge Estate in the Yarra Valley – the one-night-only event will be a feast for all senses.

The massive roster includes LP’s Quality Meats serving wallaby cotechino sausage with lentils and salsa verde; a whole pig served by Porcine in every way imaginable, from Québécois-style pâté to smoked belly ham; blood orange and rum spritz or a brûlée tart by Bourke Street Bakery and Brix Distillers; and wild wines by Clunes viniculturists Jilly Wines. 

Warm your cockles with a triple molasses rum by Archie Rose before diving headlong into a bowl of ramen by Newtown’s favourite noodle joint, Rising Sun Workshop.

The rest of the stallholder list is all killer, no filler, and includes 48 of Sydney’s most beloved restaurants, bars and producers. The Anason group, AP Bakery, Archie Rose Distilling Co., Cantina OK, Jacoby’s Tiki Bar, OzHarvest and Yulli’s Brews are just the beginning. Save room for dessert by Messina or the totally delicious gluten and dairy-free treats by Nonies out of Botany. Wash it all down with any number of drops by P&V Wine and Liquor Merchants and stock up your fridge with goodies from Vannella Cheese, Native Foodways and Wildflower Brewing & Blending.

A talk series presented by delicious. will feature climate activist, architect and designer, Joost Bakker as well as hospitality darling and ardent locavore, Danielle Alvarez (ex-Fred’s). Live music and cooking demonstrations will get your cogs turning and DJ sets by FBi Radio will keep things groovy all night.

The Carriageworks Night Market presented by Carriageworks and Vivid Sydney will be held on Friday, June 16, from 5-10pm. Tickets are $15.
