We can now all finally begin to heal.
As all truly dedicated snack lovers know, Chicken In A Biskit remains one of the greatest savoury bickies ever to grace our supermarket shelves. But for the biscognoscenti among us, there are fond memories of another, equally supreme offering that was stolen from us all too soon. We speak – in hushed tones – of Crispy Potato In A Biskit.

Regardless of whatever the hell a ‘biskit’ might be, and which particular food regulation loopholes this nebulous term might allow the manufacturer to slither through, the In A Biskit brand is a much-treasured one. While the line was discontinued in 2015, the Chicken and Drumstick flavours fought bravely back, making their glorious return in 2021 and proving that you can’t keep a good biskit down, no matter how hard you might try.
And now, Crispy Potato In A Biskit has risen again, returning to stores across Australia.

Mondelez, which produces the range, cites ‘nostalgia’ as the reason for bringing our beloved bickie back from the brink.
“In A Biskit Crispy Potato holds a special place in so many Australians’ memories, says Andra Dempster, senior director of marketing, biscuits at Mondelēz Australia. “It’s the snack that fuelled afternoons spent mastering Rubik’s Cubes and rewinding VHS tapes. It’s a direct line back to the ’90s – the era of dial-up internet and checking the TV guide for when you’ll catch your favourite program. Since it left shelves in 2015, we’ve heard from countless fans asking us to bring it back. Following the incredible response to our 2021 In A Biskit relaunch, we knew the time was right to bring Crispy Potato back.”
I don’t know about you, but tonight I’m going to party like it’s 1999. And I’m bringing the snacks.
Crispy Potato In A Biskit (RRP $4.00) is now rolling out at supermarkets nationwide.
