If you’re looking for the perfect snack to serve up during your weekend AFL or NRL Grand Final party, look no further.

Iconic whisky brand Monkey Shoulder has teamed up with Gary’s Quality Meats to create a banging new snag that brings the bar to you – the Grand Cocktail Sausage.

These pork and beef sausages are infused with all of the ingredients that make up an Old Fashioned – Scotch whisky, bitters, sugar syrup and orange zest – so yes, you’ll technically be drinking a cocktail in sausage form.

Mike Lowe, Monkey Shoulder Brand Manager, says: “We love putting a Monkey twist on everything we do, just like creating a one-of-a-kind whisky wiener to celebrate the footy finals.

The Grand Cocktail Sausages will be available at Gary’s Quality Meats in Prahran Markets on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 September for the AFL Grand Final, and Friday 30 September and Saturday 1 October for the NRL Grand Final, retailing at $23.90 for a pack of six.

Monkey Shoulder and Gary’s Quality Meats will also be giving away 200 free snag packs to fanatic footy fans on a first in, best dressed basis – so you’d better go start the car!
