Looks like Mike White and HBO have cottoned on to something Australians have known for a while: Thailand really is the ultimate destination for an idyllic island getaway. The streaming service and director have officially announced that Season 3 of The White Lotus will take place at Four Season Resort Koh Samui. 

While the news has just officially been confirmed rumours have been swirling since the late last year that the hit show will be filmed here since Mike White announced Thailand would be the destination and each previous season has been shot at a Four Seasons resort – Season 1 at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and Season 2 at San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel. 

Now, Four Seasons has multiple resorts in Thailand, including accommodations at Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, but none of them sit beachside, except for the Koh Samui outpost. And if you’ve watched the show you’ll know that Mike White uses the beach and water as an underlying theme of the show. So Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is really a no brainer. 

The bucket-list location and the resort’s beauty and charm make for the ultimate backdrop for the show’s now iconic twists and turns its holiday-making characters take. Overlooking the the idyllic Gulf of Thailand the resort captivatingly highlights the serene island life of Koh Samui, alongside pristine sandy beaches bordered by lush tropical greenery and tranquil blue seas.

While the release date has not yet been revealed, the third season of the hit show is expected to drop sometime in 2025.
