Move over high tea, these hotels are serving Father's Day "guy tea"

Dads day out

Come to papa.

What do you get the man who has everything? Or the man who’s just really difficult to buy for? The father of all tea parties. This isn’t any old high tea friends, this is guy tea

What is guy tea you ask? Well, think less cucumber sandwiches and macarons, and fewer pots of earl grey and far more Wagyu Cheeseburger sliders and Moreton Bay Bug Rolls.

Dads day out

A whole bunch of the QT Hotels Australian locations have taken a Dad-sized paintbrush to their signature high tea offerings to create unique culinary guy tea experiences worthy of el padré loco.

From an Italian feast fit for a king at QT Sydney’s Parlour Cucina, to moreish man-sized truffle fries in the sky at The Rooftop at QT Perth. Even QT Wellington’s Hippopotamus has come to the party with Football Fathers and Dapper Dads alike sure to feel the love this weekend.

Parlour Cucina

For those bros and Daddy-Os who are a little less reluctant to leave the sofa –– or are quite reasonably restricted to said sofa courtesy of rona –– there’s even a holiday-at-home style option: the Father of All Meat Trays (which deserves its very own stadium sized echo-echo-echo).

Aside from cementing your position as the golden child, the man-sized menus will give la famiglia an epic Father’s Day feast that includes dishes like Mottainai Lamb Loin Roast, Rangers Valley Grain Fed Aged Rib Eye, Borrowdale Berkshire Pork Porchetta and Duck Fat Roasted potatoes (erm, can we come?)

All you need to do is cook up a storm with the pre-prepped ingredients, add the finishing touches and take all the credit, like any good chef.

Sound like a plan? Participating QT Hotels include: QT Sydney, QT Perth, QT Canberra, QT Gold Coast and QT Queenstown.
