Here's a first look at Barangaroo Harbour Park.
As Barangaroo continues to evolve it has become one of Sydney’s most exciting precincts. Marrinawi Cove, a harbour swim spot which can be found at the north-east corner of Barangaroo Reserve, opened early this year and became an instant hit with locals.
Now, the NSW government has revealed plans to transform an empty concrete slab, that has remained inaccessible to the public, into an impressive harbourside park that will feature interactive art, water play, ponds and winding footpaths Barangaroo Harbour Park will bring welcomed greenery and family-friendly areas for local Sydneysiders to enjoy.

The 1.85 hectare Harbour Park, located at Central Barangaroo between the northern headlands and skyscrapers of South Barangaroo, has been designed by First Nations-led design team AKIN and will showcase Indigenous culture.
Native trees will fill the park and provide shaded areas for family fun in nature play areas and shallow pools. The sprawling lawn at the northern end of the park is designed to host community and cultural events for up to 6000 people.
While specific details of the park remain unknown, the NSW government is anticipating it will be completed by the end of 2027. We’ll keep you updated as more information is released.
