She's just like us.
The Duchess of Sussex is no stranger to the small screen, after rising to fame in her role as Rachel Zane on legal drama Suits. Now she’s back to playing her greatest role yet – that of a Regular Person just doing Regular Things.
Markle first launched her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, in March of this year. The lifestyle series showcased the Duchess’ love of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship as part of her new brand, As Ever (formerly American Riviera Orchard, named for her hometown in Santa Barbara).
Now the show is returning for its second season, and Megs will be welcoming a new host of chefs, artists and friends to her humble home, including Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, David Chang and Jay Shetty. According to the press materials for the new season, “Meghan will show us how to experiment with bold flavours in the kitchen, and approach doable but delightful DIYs that fill our cups – as well as satisfy our appetites.”

Yes, it all sounds very twee, but the crew working behind the scenes has some serious cred. Leah Hariton is on board as the series showrunner off the back of her success with Selena Gomez’s cooking show, Selena + Chef, curating a seriously watchable and surprisingly laid back experience.
Coming along for the ride is another big name in reality food television, Michael Steed, who directed a swag of the late Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown series as well as David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. The series is be produced by Archewell Productions (Prince Harry and Markle’s own production company) and The Intellectual Property Corporation, part of Sony Pictures Television’s non-fiction division.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has already had his own shot at Netflix glory, with the much-reviled series Polo released in December 2024. While the show’s grand aim was to “pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport”, all it really managed to do was fall flat on its face in the mud. The Guardian described it as an “unintentional comedy” about “the stupidest, most obnoxious sport known to humanity”. Ouchy.
The couple’s previous Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, was one of the most-watched docuseries of 2023. It did little to humanise the power couple, but perhaps a spot of afternoon tea and gardening might do the trick.
Season 2 of With Love, Meghan premieres on Netflix on August 26.
