Plus, there's a second surprise sauce.
FIFA Women’s World Cup fever is running high right now, and tournament sponsor McDonald’s has been scoring goals with fast food fans by launching a series of special products and activations.
First, there was the ‘Fry-Thru’ – a pop-up restaurant shaped like a giant box of fries, which will be slinging fries at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, Sydney, until the end of the tournament.
Next, was the first of two limited-edition ‘Sauces Around the World’ – Wasabi Flavoured Mayo and Outback BBQ Sauce. The new flavours are inspired by participating countries in the World Cup…although opting for an Aussie-inspired one when there were 31 other countries to choose from could be seen as a tad, well, vanilla.
But fans of diversity can breathe easy, as now the second round of sauces has come charging through the golden arches, with availability of new limited-edition Spicy Buffalo Sauce and Truffle Flavoured Mayo kicking off from today.
We can’t confirm exactly how much truffle is going into the sauce, but for 55c a tub, you can take a wild guess.
Spicy Buffalo Sauce and Truffle Flavoured Mayo are now available from McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, but only while stocks last.
