True to the JW Marriott ethos, each new dining destination is designed to completely nourish both body and soul, through mindful cuisine selection, a focus on seasonal and local produce, and sustainably sourced ingredients. Misono: Japanese Artistry + Whisky Bar
Taking a cue from the free-spirited, playful nature of Harajuku streets, Misono offers a laneway of experiences, from intimate Izakaya to a live Sushi bar. But perhaps most exciting is the lavish Whisky Bar, with its outdoor terrace and spirited Teppan dining experiences. Whether you opt for the restaurant’s famous Teppan experience –– complete with the interactive theatrics and intricate knife work for which it’s become a favourite –– or choose freshly prepared sushi maki, sashimi, nigiri or tempura from the sushi bar, accompanied by a sip of rare Nikka Whisky from the bar, it’s an ideal spot to savour a range of dining options independently or as part of a bespoke progressive dining experience. There’s also a unique private Teppan dining experience for adults only, which showcases perfectly matched sake and sophisticated flavours. Misono aims to encourage curiosity, interaction and discovery, also offering lessons in seafood preparation and the unique artform of sashimi. Misono is open Tuesday through to Sunday for dinner from 5:30pm.
Citrique: Fresh + Chic All-Day Dining
Built on a reputation of chic all-day dining experiences, Citrique is famous for its breakfast, brunch and seafood market experiences. Combining fresh, locally sourced ingredients with a rich atmosphere that incorporates active, open kitchens, live stations such as the wok station, pizza oven and signature at-table preparations. Guests can expect creatively elevated staples, the very best freshly caught seafood and ideal wine pairings. Enriching the experience are the stories of local producers, which perfectly layer place, education and interactive provenance across the already-impressive menu. And that’s just for starters, there’s also a wildly inventive cocktail menu and expertly crafted wine ambassador program, set alongside locally sourced beverages and feature ingredients direct from the resort’s own JW garden. Citrique is open daily for breakfast from 6:30am –10:30am and dinner Monday through to Saturday from 6pm.
JW Market: Handmade Products + Local Produce
Designed to foster authentic connection to locally crafted products and produce, the JW Market will champion local farmers and producers, showcasing an array of fresh produce, from cold cut meats from the Scenic Rim, to aged cheese and flavoured fudge from Tamborine Mountain… and everything in between. Head to JW Market for thoughtfully curated products to enjoy or gift, many of which are homegrown in JW Garden. There’s also a simple breakfast style menu, including freshly made pastries, seasonal fruits, yoghurt and moreish homemade JW granola. JW Market is open daily 6:30am – 5pm.
Chapter & Verse: Crafted Cocktails + Share Plates
Bringing together genuine interest, energy and experience, Chapter & Verse is set in a welcoming open plan space at the heart of the lobby, expanding outwards into the al fresco pool area. An ideal spot for a variety of occasions and situations from day to night, the all-day bar serves to-die-for share plates and swoon-worthy sips that make the ideal complement to any intimate experience. Sip on uniquely crafted cocktails and in-house native flower and herbal infusions and help to support local producers while you do. The unmissable high tea experience is a must-do, elevated with locally sourced ingredients from the base of the Hinterland to Mount Tamborine; featuring items such as the Hinterland wild mix berry tart, Bowen Mango and passionfruit mousse or Tamborine Mountain grilled vegetables with JW Garden basil pesto. For those with a taste for trends, there’s also the JW Marriott Bubble Tea, served with rich, molasses-like tapioca pearls and ice. Chapter & Verse is open daily from 11am.
The Pool Pavilion: Poolside Relaxation
Combining a relaxed poolside ambience with fresh local produce and a touch of dynamic Asian flavour, the Pool Pavilion is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy light healthy meals, drinks and exquisite cocktails and mocktails.
