Polaroid cameras, retro fashion and nostalgic recipes: everything old is new again, and we’re feeling inspired to rediscover an old favourite: the Park Regis City Centre in Sydney.
This lavish, old school hotel is an ideal spot for those who are feeling a little wanderlusty for the grand old international city staycations of Manhattan, London, Los Angeles and Paris: where one pays for the perfect heart-of-the-city location, rather than for ridiculously unnecessary amounts of space, new-fangled wifi connections or latest gin-based cocktail creations.

Ideally situated at 27 Park Street, right near Town Hall and the Queen Victoria Building, the Park Regis City Centre is an ideal base from which to explore one of the most exciting cities in the southern hemisphere.
But don’t let the “old school” label fool you: this little hidden gem is home to some of the best harbour views in the city, an epic rooftop pool and the cutest retro laundry you’ve ever seen. (There’s also a ping pong room – complete with epic views – for those who refuse to succumb to the joys of mono-tasking.)

It’s just a short walk from the city’s best fine dining, and footsteps from Chinatown, Darling Harbour and all of the harbour city’s favourite attractions. But if you prefer Uber Eats, you definitely won’t be judged for staying in (in fact, the rooftop terrace and pool is a great place to chow down on your favourite take out… just don’t tell anyone we told you.)

If all that isn’t enough to convince you to warm up your booking fingers, then perhaps the Park Regis Staycation package will.
