Now this is the kind of beauty routine we could really get behind.

Neil Perry has enjoyed many successful collaborations throughout his long and celebrated career. As Qantas’ creative director of food, beverage and service, he has sent fine cuisine to the skies; a partnership with Walker Seafoods Australia saw him launching a tuna product line; and the chef has even teamed up with cultivated meat company Vow to create a special six-dish menu featuring lab-grown meat

Now Perry has turned his attention to a venture of an entirely different kind, and it could give us some insight into how he manages to stay looking so youthful.

The busy restaurateur has joined forces with skincare and make-up brand La Mer to host the first-ever La Mer Crèmery, a retro-inspired ice cream parlour popping up for one weekend only in Guilfoyle Park, in Sydney’s Double Bay. From Friday, April 4 to Saturday, April 5, guests will get the opportunity to take home samples of the iconic La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream, accompanied by a specially crafted Crème de la Mer-inspired ice cream created by Perry, who is a long-time fan of the brand.

“For over 20 years, Crème de la Mer has been an essential part of my daily routine, restoring and rejuvenating my skin after long days in the restaurants,” Perry says. “When the team invited me to craft an ice cream for the exclusive La Mer Crèmery, I knew exactly what I wanted to create.”

Perry took his inspiration from Crème de la Mer’s ultra-rich formula and signature fermentation process, which transforms vitamins, minerals and other nutrients into the brand’s famed ‘Miracle Broth’ cell-renewing elixir. The result is a luxuriously smooth and rich buttermilk ice cream. Guests can also enhance their ice cream with Perry’s garnishes, including kelp and sesame – key ingredients found in the moisturiser’s formula.

To further celebrate this unique collaboration, Perry will also serve the La Mer ice cream and accompanying garnishes on both the lunch and dinner menu at Margaret and Song Bird from April 9 to 15.

The La Mer Crèmery will be open from Friday, April 4 (12pm-7pm) to Saturday, April 5 (10am-5pm) at Guilfoyle Park, 1A Guilfoyle Avenue, Double Bay.
